Bahaya Rokok Bagi Kesehatan

Rokok mengandung lebih dari empat ribu zat-zat dan dua ribu diantaranya telah dinyatakan berdampak tidak baik bagi kesehatan kita, diantaranya adalah :

* Bahan radioaktif (polonium-201) dan bahan-bahan yang digunakan di dalam cat (acetone).

* Pencuci lantai (ammonia).

* Ubat gegat (naphthalene).

* Racun serangga (DDT).

* Racun anai-anai (arsenic).

* Gas beracun (hydrogen cyanide) yang digunakan di “kamar gas maut” bagi pesalah yang menjalani hukuman mati, serta masih banyak lagi.

      Dan zat pada rokok yang paling berbahaya adalah Tar, Nikotin dan Karbon Monoksida.

Tar mengandung kurang lebih empat puluh tiga bahan yang menjadi penyebab kanker atau yang disebut dengan karsinogen.

Nikotin mempunyai zat dalam rokok yang dapat menyebabkan ketagihan, ini yang menyebabkan para pengguna rokok sulit sekali untuk berhenti merokok. Nikotin merupakan zat pada rokok yang beresiko menyebabkan penyakit jantung, 25 persen dari para pengidap penyakit jantung disebabkan oleh kegiatan merokok.

Yang disebutkan diatas adalah bahaya rokok bagi perokok aktif, apa itu perokok aktif ? perokok aktif adalah orang yang merokok secara langsung menghisapnya rokok, sedangkan perokok pasif adalah orang yang tidak secara langsung menghisap rokok, tetapi menghisap asap rokok yang dikeluarkan dari mulut orang yang sedang merokok
